Max Mugelli to join Corrado Sassu at Misano for the National GT Challenge

Meverin and Eureka Competition participate in Ferrari Challenge Europe Trofeo Pirelli with Max Mugelli

The Tuscan racing driver will serve as a driver coach for one of the stars of the show “Casa a Prima Vista,” who will be making his competitive debut behind the wheel of a Ferrari 296 Challenge.

A passion that turns into a project, and a dream that makes it all the way to the starting grid. Known to the general public as one of the real estate agents from the show “Casa a Prima Vista” on Realtime, Sassu is preparing to take on an entirely new challenge: his first-ever motor racing competition behind the wheel of a Ferrari 296 Challenge.

Corrado’s journey began in June with an initial experience alongside Max at Magione. Thanks to the ongoing support of Mugelli, Sassu went on to obtain his racing license in September—passing the exam administered by the Federal School—and returned to the track on October 15th, once again with Max by his side, for a test day at Misano. His preparation also continued on the TecnoSim 25 simulator, where he worked on the Romagna-based circuit and the 296 Challenge.

The debut will be even more challenging because the races at Misano will take place at night and include a driver change around the halfway point—adding further variables to a weekend that is already particularly complex for a driver in his first-ever competitive experience.

Max Mugelli
“Corrado has great passion and good qualities to build upon. My task will be to help him learn as much as possible in a very short amount of time. We’ll work with telemetry, comparing his data against my own benchmarks, and I’ll also be able to guide him via radio. The goal is to get him as much seat time as possible and steadily close the gap between us. A test can teach you a great deal, but a race is a different matter entirely. Corrado will face entirely new situations, and the most important outcome won’t be his final position, but rather how much he manages to grow over the course of the weekend. Helping him realize this dream by sharing my own experience is a wonderful challenge for me.”
